Turkish Project 2008 Team Members

Along with the Blind Corps Board Members, the following individuals will be joining us for Project Turkey 2008.

John Schmitt-Vocationa Rehabilitation Counselor
John has worked for the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired since 1989 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. He has a Masters Degree in Education-Blind Rehabilitation from Northern Illinois University and is a member of the National Federation of the Blind. He shares, “I am excited and privileged to have the opportunity to share my skills and experience with those of other cultures.”

Kim Adams-Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Kim has been a Special Education Teacher for 34 years with 25 as a teach for the visually impaired (Birth to age 21). She has had extensive experience with the Core and Expanded Curriculum for blind students. Kim was recognized as the NFB National Educator of the year for blind children. She has served on many special education committees at the local, state and national level.

Dan Hill-Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
Dan has worked for the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired for 30 years in several capacities during that period of time. Currently, he is a vocational rehabilitation counselor and thoroughly enjoys working in the blindness field. His desire is to provide the very best quality services to blind individuals, which in turn, will allow them the opportunity to become independent, self-sufficient, and productive members of society. Dan enjoys traveling to other countries and values the opportunity to interact and develop friendships with people of other cultures.
